While we at Instruction By Masters strive to offer a low-stress learning environment, we have found that following certain guidelines actually enhances the experience and to assist with that effort, we have instituted the following policies.
Pagers and Cell Phones, You will be expected to turn off all pagers and/or cell phones during the classes. If you have an urgent need to leave these types of devices on, you are requested to place them on vibrate and to respond to them outside of the classroom.
Rescheduling: After a student pays for their class and receives a book, if they paid the full price for the class they may reschedule once within a two-month period without penalty as long as they notify Instruction By Masters as required by the policy. If they require rescheduling again or beyond the two-month time frame, they will be required to submit the appropriate fees before they will receive confirmation of their new class dates. The date used to calculate the two-month period will be the date we receive payment for their class and mail their book. All provider courses include a book appropriate to the course. It is the student’s responsibility to obtain the proper text and or materials with adequate time to study prior to class.
Rescheduling: A fee will be required to reschedule a student if they a) arrive at the class without a current BLS card, and are unable to perform CPR as outlined in the AHA guidelines without remediation and if they have not completed the ACLS Self-assessment tests or b) notify Instruction By Masters of the request to reschedule less than 2 weeks prior to the start of class. The rescheduling fee is $50.00
Testing: Provider students, if needed, will be allowed a second opportunity to take the written exam. Renewal/Update students are only allowed one opportunity to test. if they fail they will need to retake the course.
Renewal classes: Any student enrolling in a renewal class MUST bring their card to attend the class.
HeartcodeTM ACLS or BLS Anywhere online check off: Any student scheduling a check off must bring their AHA certificate within the timeframe required by AHA. Testing requiring more than one hour will require an additional fee of $50.00 per hour. We do NOT perform check-offs for programs other than AHA
Prices and Schedule may change without notice. Fees must be received prior to the class to be guaranteed a reservation. While we try to maintain a consistant schedule we do reserve the right to change the dates as needed.
Class Cancellation: Any class may be canceled in the event that there is inadequate enrollment.
Consent for recording: ANY course may be recorded for quality improvement purposes. By either attending the class or signing the registration form you give your consent to being recorded by either audio, and/or video. You further consent to the recording being used in a future without legal recourse for damages or compensation.
Refunds: ACLS/PALS/EKG/Pharmacology Classes, Fees are non-refundable. If we receive written notice more than two weeks before the beginning class date a partial refund will be issued. A $25.00 administrative fee and the cost of the book will be deducted from the refund unless the book is returned in “new” condition with the cancellation notice, i.e. no writing, highlighting, torn or stained pages etc. ACLS Book $50.00 PALS Book $50.00 EKG/Pharmocology Book $20.00.
